Reputation
Attorney Michael I. Rieger has
been practicing law in Northern Virginia for almost 30 years. With
his sole concentration being criminal and traffic law,
he is in court almost every day representing clients in
criminal and traffic proceedings. He represents clients charged in all facets of
criminal law from the simplest cases to the most serious, recognizing
that all cases are of great importance to the client.
As an attorney,
Mr. Rieger believes the best measure of his
experience and expertise is the reputation that he has among
other members of the Bar. To that end, he is extremely proud of the fact that
he has been asked to speak to fellow attorneys at numerous continuing legal education seminars over the last
fifteen years. He has also traveled throughout the state of Virginia
lecturing on various facets of representing those charged with
criminal offenses and driving while intoxicated for the Virginia
State Continuing Legal Education Committee.
For many years
Michael I. Rieger has been chairman of the
Fairfax County Bar Association Driving While Intoxicated Seminar.
He has frequently spoken
on behalf of the Fairfax Bar Association on the following
topics: Practice in the General
District Court; Trial Tips in a Criminal Practice; Defending Driving
While Intoxicated Cases; Ethics; and Criminal Law and Procedure.
Mr. Rieger has also taught courses to police officers at the Northern
Virginia Criminal Justice Academy on many areas of criminal law
and procedure.
Mr. Rieger has been an active member of numerous Bar committees,
including: Chairman of the Criminal Law Subcommittee of the General
District Court Committee; Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education
Committee; Chairman of the Public Service Committee; Member of the Fee Arbitration Committee; and
Member of the Judicial
Selection Committee. He is also listed
in both Who's Who in American Law and Who's Who in Washington
as an attorney worthy of their mention.
